The Emerging Artist Retreat

An experience for creative revelations.

January 10-13, 2026

Registration is now closed

The Emerging Artist Retreat is:

  • A divine escape in New Mexico for people who yearn to make art, write, draw, create.

  • Focused on a (re)connecting with the creativity you’ve been holding on your heart.

  • A gently structured, highly personalized experience.

Super important: You don't need to identify as an artist or even an emerging artist to attend (almost better if you don’t). Your creativity doesn’t have to be “art” in your eyes. You don't need to have a creative practice, project or idea in mind. You can simply arrive and discover or rekindle your creativity.

Space is limited to maintain an intimate, personalized experience.

Annie’s retreat unlocked possibility for me that I have been searching for.

The spaciousness and environment she curated were touch points I desperately needed.

The environment added so much to the overall experience.

Being the only guests at this high-quality location, having nurturing meals, the exceptional experiences Annie brought in — together, it set this experience apart from anything else I’ve ever done.

The care and nourishment. The personalization. Ugh all of the things! Just go. Just do it. Give yourself permission to receive! Your future self will thank you.

This retreat is for you if you are:

  • Feeling tension between what you should be doing and what you want to be doing.

  • Craving creativity in your life.

  • The doodler, songwriter, poet, drawer who doesn’t think of themselves as an artist.

  • The writer who thinks, “but I’ve never published anything.”

  • In need of time and space to think and be.

The inner calling is exactly where you should be giving your attention.

Come to New Mexico in January and have space to think and rest, support as you work through ideas and/or roadblocks, and time to connect deeply with yourself, your creativity (maybe for the first time ever) and other like-hearted people.

This retreat is designed to help you move your creativity forward.

Your Retreat Host

Annie Sanchez

I’m an artist, writer, business strategist, and unconventional life coach with a lifelong belief in what’s possible.

My work is focused on helping the most necessary and underestimated leaders — the introverts, artists, entrepreneurs, women and people of color — navigate change and bring our ideas to life.

I coach individuals and design retreats that guide people towards healing and clarity in their lives..

Once upon a time, I was a nonprofit leader, hospitality industry leader, NYC event producer, operations strategist, artist assistant and business coach to artists. Throughout my expansive 25 year career, I’ve been sought out for my attention to detail, and capacity to see and connect dots most cannot.

A few years ago, despite building a successful business and meaningful work rooted in my strengths and talents, I started feeling anxious and despondent.

So I bought pencils and a sketchbook for the first time in my life. I’d sit with my coffee and sketch my house plants. A year later, I couldn’t shake the thought, “What if I went to art school?” Prior to my pencils and sketchbook, I’d never doodled or sketched.

A shadow artist most of my life, I am now finding my light.

If you can relate to what I’m saying, this retreat is for you.

Annie’s retreat was so epic and just what the doctor ordered. You’re doing an awesome thing sister, helping us find clarity within. Thank you!
